Collin Creek Apartments is a 314-unit family community located in Plano, TX, a fast-growing suburb in the Dallas metro area. Collin Creek was originally built in 1988 as an unrestricted, market rate property. Boston Financial’s Preservation Fund partnered with Post Investment Group and the Plano Housing Authority to enhance the property’s affordability. Upon acquisition in Q2 2023, the Partnership implemented 60%-80% AMI income and rent restrictions on 51% of the property’s units and structured the investment to ensure the property’s long-term affordability is prioritized. The Fund’s equity investment of $22.7 million will allow Post and the Housing Authority to provide needed in-unit amenity and community upgrades.
